FatLossPill is a brand of Just A Company LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use fatlosspill.com, your FatLossPill membership, the FLP Fitness app and our emails, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, first name, the call sign and bib number we generate for you, and your password. Passwords are stored only as a secure one-way hash; nobody at FatLossPill can read them.
- Your training: the workouts and races you record in the app or log on the website: dates, times, rounds, reps, mile times, the help you used at each station, whether you ran outdoors or on a treadmill, and heart rate if you record it. Your plan, training days, start date and Fitness Test results.
- Location during a run (app): with your permission, the FLP Fitness app uses your phone's location while a run is being timed, including with the screen locked, only to measure the mile. The location points stay on your phone: we receive the distance and time, never your location or a map of where you ran.
- Apple Health (app, optional): if you allow it, the FLP Fitness app saves your finished workouts to Apple Health on your iPhone. The app does not read anything from Apple Health, and no Apple Health data is ever sent to us or anyone else. We never use Apple Health data for advertising or sell it. You can turn this off any time in the Health app or in your iPhone Settings, under Privacy & Security, then Health.
- Your division: the age group you pick (Young Guns 18–29 up to Grizzled Vets 60+) and who you race as: Stud Muffin (men's boards), Firecracker (women's boards) or Wildcard (prefer not to say). We use it to place you on the division boards and for your rank title.
- Crews, races and call-outs: the crews you create or join, your rank and the bosses you have beaten, your Open bookings, the race times you submit to the Global Leaderboard (and any race video link you add), your Pill Bank, the call-outs you send and accept, and any time you report as suspicious.
- Optional weight check-ins: only if you turn them on. Only you can see them. We use them for your weight chart, your weekly weigh-in reminder and the optional "Feel the Weight of Your Vices" vest weight. Turn them off any time on your Account page; deleting your account deletes them.
- Email activity: whether you open our newsletter emails or click links in them, so we know what's useful.
- Basic site data: one sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in, and standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting. We don't use advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To run your membership: your history, progress charts, streaks, medals, rank, plan, and the exercise and rep aim we set at each station from your recent workouts.
- To send account emails (creating your account, password resets, crew invites) and, if you leave them on, your weekly recap, training and race-day reminders and weekly weigh-in reminder.
- To send the newsletter you signed up for, personalized with your name, call sign and bib number.
- To check race times before they appear on the Global Leaderboard, and to keep the site secure.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers below, who handle it only to run our service.
What other people can see
- Crews: members of a crew you join see your hero name (first name, call sign and surname), bib number, plan, the share of your plan done each week, rounds and race times, plus a feed of your workouts and races from the last 14 days (the day, phase and rounds, never the time of day or where) and the cheers you send and get. Never your email.
- Global Leaderboard: signed-in members see approved race times with your hero name, bib number, division name (never your age), time and raw rounds. You can keep a race private when you submit it, or hide all your times in Account settings.
- Your Hero File: if your times are public, anyone with the link can see your Hero File: your hero name, bib, rank, division name, the bosses you've beaten, best race times, medals, number of workouts and call-out record. Signed-in members also see your Hit List (the call signs you've beaten). Turn off "Show my hero name on the Global Leaderboard" to make it private, and you can hide your call sign from other members' Hit Lists or stop accepting call-outs in Account settings.
- Call-outs: the member you call out, or who calls you out, sees your hero name, the race, the day and the Pills wagered, and both of you see the result.
- Everything else, including your workout history and progress, is visible only to you.
Who helps us
- NameHero hosts this website and our member database, with daily backups kept for 14 days.
- Mailchimp (Intuit) stores our newsletter list (your email, first name, call sign and bib number) and sends the newsletter.
Your choices
- Download your data any time on the Account page: every session and every round as a spreadsheet file.
- Delete your account any time on the Account page of the member area, or in the app. That removes your account, workouts, crew spots and leaderboard times. Copies in our backups are gone within 14 days.
- Turn off the weekly recap, reminders and weigh-in reminders on the Account page.
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link at the bottom of every newsletter email.
- Access or correct your data: most of it is on your member pages. For anything else, email yo@fatlosspill.com.
Kids
FatLossPill is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For big changes we'll also email members.
